The short version: Pundar does not require an account or a Pundar cloud. Your financial records are stored locally on your device unless you explicitly create and share a backup.
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Pundar mobile application (the “App”) handles information. Pundar is developed by Tristan Rosales (“Pundar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to the App and this website.
2. Information you enter in the App
Depending on the features you use, you may enter information such as:
- Your name or nickname and display preferences.
- Income, expenses, categories, dates, and recurring-money information.
- Bills, due dates, reminder schedules, and payment amounts.
- Grocery lists, savings goals, budgets, and planning information.
- Optional information about a home, vehicle, loan, investment, valuable item, maintenance record, or related document.
This information is stored in the App's local database on your device. We do not receive it through a Pundar account because the App does not require one.
3. Information Pundar collects
Pundar does not operate a financial-record cloud, advertising network, or behavioral analytics service. The App does not automatically upload your money records to us.
Apple, Google, your device manufacturer, or the app store may independently process technical information related to downloading, updating, crash reporting, or reviewing the App. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.
4. Device permissions
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Pundar schedules reminders on your device for bills, due dates, maintenance, renewals, or check-ins you select. You may turn these off in Pundar or your device settings.
Files and documents
If you choose to save a backup, restore a backup, or attach a document, the App may ask you to select or save a file. Pundar accesses only the file or location you choose through the device picker.
5. Backups and exports
Pundar creates a backup only when you request one. You decide where that file is saved or shared. A backup can contain the local records you entered, so you should keep it in a secure location. We cannot access, recover, or protect a backup after you share it with another app or storage provider.
6. How information is used
The App processes your local information to provide features such as:
- Showing money in, money spent, and estimated money available.
- Reserving unpaid bills due within the next 30 days in planning estimates.
- Organizing cash-flow history, categories, grocery plans, and goals.
- Scheduling local reminders and advancing recurring due dates.
- Displaying optional ownership, loan, maintenance, and document details.
7. Sharing and selling information
We do not sell your personal information or financial records. We do not share App records with advertisers or data brokers. Information leaves the App only when you deliberately export, back up, or share it, or when disclosure is required by applicable law and we possess responsive information.
8. Data retention and deletion
App records remain on your device until you edit them, delete them, clear all Pundar data, uninstall the App, or your operating system removes the App's storage. Pundar includes a Clear Data option. Because we do not hold a cloud copy, we cannot restore local records you delete unless you previously created a compatible backup.
9. Security
Pundar stores application records in a local SQLite database within the App's device storage. No method of device storage is guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode, keep its operating system updated, and store exported backups carefully.
10. Children's privacy
Pundar is a general personal-finance organization tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through a Pundar account or cloud service.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Pundar's functionality, legal requirements, or distribution changes. We will update the effective date and provide notice in the App or on this website when appropriate.
